Sherena & Xavier - Harp Trio

Congratulations to Sherena and Xavier on their marriage! Sherena and Xavier were married on Saturday afternoon, March 2 at the Grand Marquis Ballroom in Garner, NC. I performed at this wedding as part of a harp trio comprised of members of the North Carolina Harp Ensemble. The bride contacted me in July about the possibility of the Ensemble performing at her wedding and I was thrilled to be able to see her musical vision come to life. For the prelude, the harp trio performed a variety of music including Mendelssohn’s On Wings of Song, Pachelbel’s Canon in D, Salzedo’s Tango and selections from Bach’s Sixth French Suite. For the processional, the trio performed Henson-Conant’s The Nightingale for the seating of the mothers, Turning Page by Ryan Curtis O’Neal from the film the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 for the entrance of the bridal party, and A Thousand Years by David Hodges and Christina Perri also from the film for the entrance of the bride. During the ceremony, the trio performed Malotte’s The Lord’s Prayer during the circle of prayer. For the recessional, the trio performed Rameau’s La Joyeuse. The North Carlina Harp Ensemble was honored to be part of this special wedding celebration! Congratulations again to this gorgeous couple on their beautiful March wedding!
