On Sunday, November 4, I performed the John Rutter’s Requiem
for choir and orchestra at First Presbyterian Church in Hickory, North Carolina.
I love performing this beautiful choral work with such an outstandingly, beautiful
harp part. The choir and musicians were wonderful and I was so pleased to be a
part of such a beautiful performance! Here
is a YouTube clip of one of my favorite movements from the Requiem.

Jaclyn & Patrick
Congratulations
to Jaclyn and Patrick on their marriage! Jaclyn and Patrick were married on
Saturday afternoon, October 27 at the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
For the prelude, I performed various classical and popular selections including
Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,
Debussy’s First Arabesque, and
Arlen/Harburg’s Over the Rainbow. For
the processional, I performed Pachelbel’s Canon
in D for the seating of the mothers, Henson-Conant’s The Nightingale for the entrance of the bridal party, and
Weiss/Peretti/Creatore’s Can’t Help Falling
in Love for the entrance of the bride. For the recessional, I performed
Purcell’s Trumpet Voluntary. I was
honored to be a part of such a special wedding celebration on such a beautiful
and breezy (thanks Hurricane Sandy) afternoon! Congratulations again to this
beautiful couple on their gorgeous October wedding!
